Free yourself from pain with this holistic nature-based pain relief program.  The body has miraculous powers of self-healing given the right stimulus and support. This approach blends mindfulness, self-compassion, natural healing remedies, and slow therapeutic movements to release blockages and stimulate the body’s energy system and instinctive healing powers. Working through pain is a journey of awakening.

In her own recovery from severe nerve and back pain, Dr. Shanti discovered that befriending pain as a messenger rather than fighting it as an enemy is a key to its transformation. As the deeper issues underlying pain symptoms are addressed and released, the constricted energy is freed. Zest for life returns along with a renewed sense of wholeness, purpose, gratitude, and joy.

Drawing on her many years as a yoga, tai chi, and expressive dance teacher, Dr. Shanti developed a therapeutic synthesis of these movement forms that enhanced her recovery and are part of her approach to pain relief. These slow mindful movements help to rewire the pain circuitry in the brain. Individual sessions are modified for different needs and capacities.

These slow mindful movements from Yoga, T’ai Chi and dance stimulate the para-sympathetic relaxation response and enhance vitality, resilience, balance and inner calm. They also support the body’s instinctive capacity to self-heal.
